Proton X70 2026 MC3 facelift brings notable upgrades in design, technology, safety, and performance. With these updates, Proton strengthens its position in Malaysia’s growing SUV market.

Interior Design

Inside, the new X70 MC3 feels more premium and tech-forward. One of the biggest highlights is the new 12.3-inch floating touchscreen. It runs on Proton’s Atlas 2.0 OS and finally supports Android Auto and Apple CarPlay—a first for Proton.

The infotainment system is smooth, thanks to dual quad-core processors, 4GB RAM, and 32GB storage. The dashboard now features a gloss black insert and 72-color ambient lighting, which can sync with your music.

To improve driver comfort, the steering wheel is now a flat-bottom design, and the 7-inch LCD instrument cluster has better graphics. For a more upscale feel, the Premium variants come with  leather seats and criss-cross stitched door panels.

Moreover, USB ports have been updated—USB-C in the front and both USB-A and USB-C for rear passengers. Higher variants also offer ventilated front seats, dual-zone automatic air-con with a purifier, and a 360-degree camera with 3D view.

Exterior Design

Moving to the outside, the X70 MC3 has a bolder and sleeker look. Up front, it sports a new Infinite Weave grille with Songket diamond pins, flanked by slimmer LED headlights and stylish DRLs.

The front bumper has been reshaped with larger black accents and horizontal lines, giving it a wider appearance. At the back, a new rear bumper with more gloss black trim adds to its modern stance. A powered tailgate with hands-free ‘Nearby Auto Open’ is now standard on upper trims.

• 19-inch two-tone alloys for Premium

Color choices include Snow White, Armor Silver, Jet Grey, and Marine Blue.

Safety & Performance

Under the hood, the X70 MC3 uses a familiar 1.5L turbocharged 4-cylinder engine. It delivers 181 PS and 290 Nm of torque, paired with a 7-speed wet dual-clutch transmission (EVO300). All variants are now front-wheel drive, only 2WD option.

Fuel efficiency sees a slight boost, now rated at 6.9L/100km— better than before. Proton achieved this with better combustion efficiency, improved thermal management, and reduced friction.

NVH (Noise, Vibration, Harshness) levels have also been improved. The car now uses a quieter air-con compressor, more insulation, and high-viscosity adhesives to cut down cabin noise.

On the safety front, all variants come with:
